Majied Kaveh is a registered psychotherapist in CRPO (College of Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario) and certified counselor in CCPA (Canadian Counselor and Psychotherapist Association). He graduated from Tehran University of Medical Science as a medical doctor and received a scholarship to continue his education in a PhD of Psychology. He has experience teaching Conception & Perception, Neurophysiology, Psychophysiology, and Mental Health as an assistant professor in the department of clinical psychology at several universities. Meanwhile, he was also a clinical supervisor of Masters level psychology students.
When he moved to Canada, he joined a two year program for internationally trained psychologists, which included a six month internship at the Pine River Institute in 2016. In cooperation with his colleagues, Dr. Kaveh founded the Iranian Mental Health Center (IMHC) in 2015 to provide psycho-education, research and therapy. The IMHC has been given letters of appreciation by several charities and members of parliament for its valuable activities in the community. He has held 50 seminars and workshops, as well as thousands of counseling and therapy sessions for Iranian immigrants living in Canada, the United States, and abroad. He has gained profound experience treating the psychological impacts of immigration (personal, family and social) through working in four different countries as a medical doctor, psychologist and psychotherapist. He provides therapy in English, Farsi and Turkish.
